priming – für einen besseren kulturstart bei zwiebeln!

für zwiebeln sind ein schneller und uniformer feldaufgang essenzielle faktoren, um den ertrag und die produktqualität, speziell bei ungünstigen wetterverhältnissen, zu steiger.

um den sorten einen besonders guten kulturstart zu ermöglichen, wurde eine priming-methode entwickelt, die auch unter kalten bedingungen ein frühes und uniformes pflanzenwachstum fördert.

priming wird als aktivierung des keimprozesses definiert, mit der absicht, ein schnelleres und uniformeres auflaufen nach der saat zu erzielen. der priming-prozess reguliert die feuchtigkeit im saatkorn während der frühen phase der keimung so wird ein guter kulturstart, auch unter kalten/ungünstigen bedingungen unterstützt und uniformes pfanzenwachstum gefördert!

vorteile von priming

  • mehr flexibilität
    • priming erweitert den temperaturbereich unter dem ein samen keimen kann – die bedingungen bei frühen aussaaten sind meist nicht optimal und das fenster für die aussaat recht klein. mit priming kann man auch unter schwierigen bedingungen mit einem besseren auflauf rechnen.
  • kostensparend
    • mehr aufgelaufene pflanzen/ha bedeuten, dass man die anzahl der gesäten korn/ha eventuell etwas reduzieren kann
    • weniger schäden durch den herbizideinsatz und erleichterte hebizidgaben durch uniformere bestände
    • erleichterte ernte – schnell und mit weniger aufwand dank besserem unkrautmanagement
  • höherer ertrag
    • bessere uniformität der zwiebeln und höhere erträge durch bessere bestandsentwicklung und früheres laubwachstum
Keimung
Keimung

die beiden grafiken zeigen den unterschied bei der keimung von zwiebelsaatgut mit priming und un­behandeltem saatgut. unter kühleren bedingungen (10°C) haben die samen mit priming klar die nase vorn. die unbehandelte partie erreicht nach sieben tagen noch keine 30 %, wobei die primed-variante schon bei einer keimrate von 95 % liegt.

bei 15°C sind bei der priming-variante schon nach vier tagen ca. 90 % gleichmäßig gekeimt und bei der unbehandelten partie gerade einmal 20 %. die uniformität der keimung von unbehandeltem saatgut ist geringer und dadurch dann auch die uniformität des fertigen bestands.
